Self-Esteem Counselling

Low Self-Esteem is the Main Cause of Anxiety & Stress.

If you knew you deserved happiness and love, you wouldn’t settle for anything less.

Then what makes so many people give up their dreams and settle or give in?

Low self-esteem is the main reason people seek counselling. The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) has found 1 out of 4 adults suffer from a psychological disorder and low self-esteem is the underlying factor for the majority of them.

Low Self-Esteem as a Common Thread

Low self-esteem can show up in many ways:

  • Poor relationships
  • A constant need for validation and recognition
  • Feeling worthy only when in a relationship
  • Difficulty at work
  • Lack of purpose and direction
  • Eating disorders
  • Poor health
  • Self neglect
  • Emotional sensitivity
  • Perfectionism
  • Self doubt
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Pessimism
  • Success driven
  • Arrogance
  • Suicide and suicidal ideation

Do any of these seem familiar to you or anyone you know?

You are not alone.

What is Self-Esteem?

“Self-esteem is your capacity to recognize your worth and value, despite your human flaws and weaknesses. Your value as a person isn’t earned; it isn’t conditional; it can’t be added to or subtracted from. Your essential worth is neither greater nor lesser than that of any other human being. It can’t be. Self-esteem is about being, not doing. You have worth simply because you’re alive.”

Change Your Mind—Change Your Future

What would it be like for you to fully rely on yourself for knowing what you need and how to get back on track? The first step is being willing to change your mind about the problem.

Until you experience the results of how changing your mind will change your life, it will seem impossible.

With a new perspective and some tools, you will get back on track and live a life with purpose and joy. There is a sense of freedom that comes from living in your integrity.

Self-Esteem Counselling Starts with a Courageous Step

I realize challenging your thoughts about yourself and the world takes a lot of courage. Asking for help takes far more “guts” than suffering in silence.

The most important piece of your self-worth puzzle is that you trust me and our ability to develop an open, respectful dialogue to start building your confidence. I will help you see where your own beliefs about yourself and the world have been creating and limiting your experience more than any outside influence.

Are you ready to make a change?
