About Me

Liz Coleman, Master Therapeutic Counsellor (MTC #1064)

I have a profound appreciation for where I am in my life.

My past, even the most difficult parts, not only make sense to me now, but I understand that those pieces of the puzzle were necessary to create who I am in a way that is uniquely me.

Living in Japan for two years was an adventure…………..What I found in the spaces between the cultural differences both inspires me and makes my life rich. In the same way I am discovering and learning about my clients and their worlds, as they too learn more about themselves.

I learned, my perspectives and choices create my experiences more so than my family story or culture. It is always exciting when someone recognizes new perspectives and the power of that knowledge. Because in that knowledge is the key to a new choice and a new experience.

Fifteen years of martial arts training honed my intuition…..It instilled in me trust that I have all I need and grounded me in the moment. Mind and body alignment has become a key tool in my work with clients, reading and using the non-verbal communication that is so much a part of any human interaction.

“Who am I?”

Experiencing injury, I was met with this question which forced me to change my choices and helped me uncover new perspectives about myself. The challenge for me has been to find a balance of interdependence and healthy relationship and to learn how to share with another but not give myself away. I have grown to see the beauty of that back and forth process in all my relationships, intimate or not.

The Next Step……In my thirties, I felt life held more for me than how I was living at the time. My curiosity and deep desire to understand and learn more inspired me to go back to school. I participated in an extensive self-development, mentorship, and counsellor training program through Clearmind International Institute. For three years, I actively participated in classes, workshops, and mentoring. All the reading and self-help books can never replace this real face-to-face experience of working with an individual or a group to help create life changes. It left such a memorable impression on me that it forever transformed the quality of my life and my choice of career!

Different perspectives create different choices and different choices create different results!….This is the process that has transformed my life and I would love to discover the spaces between where you are now and where you truly want to be, in a process that can forever enrich your life.
